TREEPLAST® is a fully biodegradable raw material suitable for processing in standard injection molding. The final product can be finished like wood and has comparable possibilities like MDF. The material is suitable for all kinds of wood connections. For a sound design of products in TREEPLAST one has to take into account the specific properties. For temporarily products the humidity is of importance. For more durable products the TREEPLAST has to be in a dry surrounding or finished (lacquer) to withstand humidity. Products of TREEPLAST are skin friendly and not electrostatic. The freedom of shape is a huge advantage above normal wood products. The material is shrink-free.

  • water-resistant: several months in water

When designing products in a material, it's important to utilize the specific qualities of the material. In the case of the basic version of TREEPLAST pay attention to the following specific qualities:

  • a high material density
  • natural appearance
  • skin friendly
  • well paintable
  • the brittleness
