to top of page How do I throw a Skipstone?

  1. Take your Skipstone with your thumb on the logo, your middle finger on the other side and your index finger on a point.
  2. Throw on the water under a 45 degree angle. Let your Skipstone spin as fast as possible. Force doesn't matter!
  3. Count the number of skips. If you exceed 38 skips with an official Skipstone. Record attempts according to the official Guinness Book of Records Guidelines.

This has been up till today a well kept secret. The British Airforce used the skip principle in the second world war to blow up three important dams.

Yes, there are. Did you for instance know that:

  1. the NASSA (the North American Stone Skipping Association) organizes world championships from as early as 1988.

  2. the world skipping record with 38 (!) skips is held by Jerdone Coleman-McGhee from Texas, USA.

  3. The Eskimos skip on ice, and the Bedouins on sand.

The Skipstone® is made from TREEPLAST®, a woodlike material which dissolves in water. It' s fully biodegradable and therefor not harmful for our environment.
