The project group (called the TREEPLAST-consortium) consisted of two groups:

  1. The Core group proposers: SME's (Small and Medium Enterprises) in the Netherlands, Austria and Germany
  2. The RTD Performers: Research &Development partners in the Netherlands and Austria.

GrAT is an Austrian Research Association, which is the leading power in the development and promotion of "Ecodesign" in Austria.It has done many research projects about designing and the properties of design quality in relation to environment and community.It has expertise in Renewable Resources Research on international scale and delegates the Austrian member of UNEP "Expert group on renewable resources research".
GrAT will contribute to the project by developement of the design methodology and will cope with environmental assessment tasks.

PE design & engineering bv is a SME bureau active in the field of sustainable product development. Through contacts all over the world it develops product market combinations. The bureau is also active in the development of ecological sound products (solar energy, water making).
It will develop initiated product concepts for appropriate TREEPLAST® products and translate them into product development for the core group.
